Connor Wolfheimer, a tall and commanding presence in Brentford FC’s U18s team, is known for his technical ability, dominance in 1v1 situations, and vocal leadership on the pitch.
Born in Germany and raised in England, Connor has developed a diverse footballing background, beginning his journey with Sheen Lions FC before progressing to Old Isleworthians and Nigel James Elite Coaching. The young keeper was on Brentford's books since the age of eight, coming through the football programmes at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust. In 2023, Connor officially signed for Brentford FC, marking the proudest moment of his career.
Connor's playing style is inspired by some of the greats, including Manuel Neuer, whom he cites as his biggest influence. His dream five-a-side team reflects his admiration for football legends, featuring Neuer, Sergio Ramos, Philip Lahm, Toni Kroos, and Cristiano Ronaldo. Before matches, Connor finds motivation through a mix of Future, Kanye West, Ken Carson, and Playboi Carti, blending intensity and focus with rhythm.
His biggest goal this season is to secure his first professional contract while leading his team to more success than last year. Connor has already had the opportunity to train with Brentford's B team and First Team players at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre. These experiences have been invaluable, showing him the high standards required to succeed at the professional level.
Over his time with Brentford, Connor has seen significant improvements in his game, becoming more consistent and further developing his strengths while addressing weaknesses. Looking ahead, Connor hopes to offer the club his impressive ability to play with his feet and his dominating performances in 1v1 scenarios, setting him up as one of the brightest young talents in Brentford’s academy system.
