Caelan Avenell's joined the Bees from west London rivals Fulham, where he spent over a decade developing his game from U9s to U21s before making the switch to Brentford.

Known among his teammates for being relentless, committed, and a true workhorse, Caelan is a versatile defender who can play at full-back or centre-half.

Across the 2024/25 campaign, Avenell made 40 appearances for the B team with 26 of those being starts.

He scored an excellent goal in the Premier League cup semi-final against Southampton away at St Mary’s stadium, one of four he scored in the season (the most of any B team defender).

Two more of his important goals came in the Atlantic Cup tour where he scored the winner against IFK Gothenburg and notched against Monaco Under-23s.

As well as this, he registered one assist and had an 84 per cent success rate in aerial defensive duels.
