A dynamic and agile defender, Benjamin Fredrick made the move to west London in August 2023.

Fredrick initially signed for Brentford B on loan from Nigerian side Simoiben FC until the end of the 2023/24 season.

The move was made permanent in April 2024 and Fredrick has gone from strength to strength ever since.

Fredrick starred for the young Bees across the 2024/25 season, winning the B team Players' Player of the Year award.

The defender played a key role in Brentford's run to the Under-21 Professional Development League national title. Fredrick scored in the west Londoners' 2-1 extra-time win over Sheffield United in the semi-final, before featuring in their 3-2 win over Bournemouth in the final.

Fredrick also played a prominent part for the Bees as they made the Premier League Cup final, which resulted in a 3-1 loss to west London rivals QPR at Loftus Road.

In the summer of 2025, Fredrick was rewarded for his strong form as he embarked on a season-long loan with Belgian Pro League side FCV Dender, though a knee injury cut his time abroad short.

Fredrick has also featured on the international stage.

Having previously represented Nigeria Under-20s, the defender made his senior debut in May 2025 in a 5-4 penalty shoot-out win against Jamaica in the Unity Cup final at Gtech Community Stadium.

He went onto feature for the Super Eagles in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign that autumn.

In July 2026, he was promoted to the first-team squad and penned a new four-year contract, with a club option of a further year.
