A commanding shot-stopper, Aidan Stokes joined Brentford B on a season-long loan from Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls in the summer of 2026.

Raised in Totowa, New Jersey, Stokes attended Passaic Valley Regional High School before joining the New York Red Bulls Academy, progressing through the ranks from Under-15s level up to Under-17s level.

His development at his parent club was rewarded in 2023 when Stokes signed his first professional contract, going on to make over 50 appearances for New York Red Bulls II in MLS Next Pro.

Stokes made his professional debut in March 2024, starting between the posts in a 5-1 win over Hudson Valley Hammers in the first round of the US Open Cup.

Eligible to represent the United States, England and Wales, Stokes featured for the USA at Under-15s level before switching allegiance to represent Wales at the Victory Shield, making two appearances for the Under-16s. He has since worn the Three Lions of England at Under-17s level.

Brentford B head coach Sam Saunders praised Stokes’ shot-stopping ability and composure on the ball, as well as his character and winning mentality, with the club set to continue his development alongside B team goalkeeping coach Jani Viander and first team goalkeeping coach Manu Sotelo.
