Aidan Golding joined Brentford’s U18s after a well-rounded youth career that began at Worcester Park U8s before moving to Sutton United at U9s and eventually to Chelsea, where he spent several years until U16s.
He has fond memories of captaining his teams during tours in Germany and Tenerife and captaining Surrey, showing his leadership abilities early on. Aidan signed with Brentford ahead of the 2023/24 season, looking to continue his development.
Known for his technical, composed, and intelligent style of play, Aidan sees himself as an assured defender, able to remain calm under pressure and contribute with incisive passes to help create chances. His biggest influences have been his family, particularly his dad, who has guided him through his footballing journey. Before games, you'll find him getting in the zone listening to Lil Baby.
Aidan’s proudest moments include scoring in a penalty shootout in a tournament against Manchester City and signing with Brentford, which he describes as a "breath of fresh air" for its positive and friendly atmosphere. With ambitions to become a regular in the U18s and win a cup this season, Aidan is driven to continue his growth with the club.
