Brentford visit Cardiff City on Saturday morning in the U18 Professional Development League Two South after last week's dramatic 3-2 defeat to Ipswich Town. The match will be played at the University of South Wales playing fields, kick-off 11am, spectators welcome.
The Bees should be going into Saturday's match on the back of their first win in five after they led Ipswich Town 2-0 going into the final ten minutes last Saturday. However Jon De Souza's side conceded three goals, two in injury time, to slide to a defeat which leaves them sixth in the table with 18 points from 16 games. Jon's side will be keen to put that performance right in South Wales with places in the team for The Bees FA Youth Cup tie on 15 December up for grabs.
Cardiff City are directly below The Bees with 14 points from 14 games after picking up three wins in their last four league matches. The Bees have won their last four matches against The Bluebirds, scoring 14 goals, and did the double over the Welsh side last season on their way to the U18 PDL Two Play-Off final. The encounter at Jersey Road in August ended in a 3-2 win for The Bees, Josh Bohui, Courtney Austin and Ian Carlo Poveda on target.
