There has been further international recognition for Brentford’s Academy with Julius Fenn-Evans called up to the Wales Under-16 squad.
The teenage striker, who turned 16 earlier this month, will travel with Wales for a tournament in the Faroe Islands this week.
Julius will link up with the squad on Thursday, April 16, and the group will fly to the Faroe Islands the following day.
They will play three matches in the UEFA Development Tournament against Iceland, on Saturday, Faroe Islands, on Sunday, and Northern Ireland, next Tuesday – April 21.
Julius is the latest Brentford youngster to receive international recognition.
Josh Bohui has been part of the England Under-16 group this season, Harry Francis was called to an England Under-15 training camp and Ross McMahon was also called up for a Scotland Under-16 training camp.
Additionally, Youth Team player Kyjuon Marsh-Brown was called up to the Antigua and Barbuda full squad and Nik Tzanev, also in the Under-18 group, has played for New Zealand Under-20.

“Any player being called-up for a national squad is a cause for celebration and with Swansea City and Cardiff City, in particular, having such strong academies, competition is tough for the Welsh squad.
“Julius will have a chance to travel abroad as part of a national team and that is a great learning experience for him.
“I am sure he will come back a better player and with additional knowledge he can pass on.
“This is another sign of the recognition the Brentford Academy is getting and I hope this will continue.
“Julius has always represented the Club well whether travelling to Barcelona, to the Milk Cup or away with the Youth Team.

Julius has played five Under-18 Professional Development League Two games this season, despite qualifying for the Under-16 squad.
