During the latter stages of last season we undertook a significant piece of work to really understand what the Club means to fans. Why? So we could ensure that as we set out to grow our profile and grow the fan base we were telling the right story, in the right way.
The process started with a comprehensive research exercise that involved one-to-one interviews with Owner Matthew Benham, Chairman Cliff Crown, CEO Mark Devlin and Board Members Donald Kerr and Mike Power. Staff that have had a long association with the Club including Peter Gilham, Kevin O’Connor and Lee Doyle were involved as were a number of Brentford bloggers and writers such as Greville Waterman, Nick Hester and Jim Levack.
We also sent online questionnaires to Season Ticket Holders and Members then worked with a group of established fans across a range of ages to review what we had found out – to make sure we were on the right track.
As a result of this work fans will have seen a number of changes to how we are now presenting the Club which can be seen online in the improvements we’ve made to our websites, in social media and most recently through our Season Ticket, Club Membership and Replica Kit launches.
We’re now in the final stages of updating some key areas at Griffin Park and as we head towards the first game of the season we’d like to share a video we’ve made about the Club, as told by Brentford fans. You may have seen an edited version on our Season Ticket website, but this film tells a more detailed story of what the Club means to fans and the excitement around the future.
We hope you agree that it communicates the values of the Club and helps to explain what makes us different.
