Brentford defender Aaron Hickey said he is raring to return to first-team action after playing all 70 minutes of our 3-1 friendly win over Leyton Orient at Jersey Road.

Hickey hasn't featured since the defeat against Newcastle at the start of October and admitted he is 'dying to get back playing again' in the Premier League.

He began: “It felt great just to be back on the grass with the kit on. It felt nice just to be out there running again and passing the ball.

“I'm just dying to get back. It's been really long, it's been hard, but I'm dying to get back."

Hickey continued: “You do have to adapt in certain situations, you do things differently with your body angles, but it feels comfortable because I’ve done both over the last few years.”

When asked about how he became so good with his weaker foot, the full-back added: “All the boys ask me that and I feel awkward answering it!

“Since I've been young, I've just always practiced it, it's just been natural for me to just pass with both feet.”

In the win over Orient, who are currently top of Sky Bet League Two, Kevin Schade scored his first two goals for the club, with Keane Lewis-Potter netting the other.

Lewis-Potter opened the scoring for the Bees in the 43rd minute, as he linked up well with Schade down the right, before chopping onto his right foot and finishing past the goalkeeper.

Schade went from provider to scorer just five minutes later, as he found himself inside the box and, when he received the ball from Saman Ghoddos, his first-time finish nestled into the back of the net.

German striker Schade, who signed for the club from Freiburg this month, doubled his tally on the hour mark.

His initial effort looked to be going out for a corner after a save from the opposition goalkeeper, but Damsgaard did well to keep the ball in and play it back to the 21-year-old.

The centre-forward made no mistake from close range, as he scored Brentford's third and final goal of the friendly.
