Brentford Manager Uwe Rösler spoke to Bees Player this morning on a range of topics.

(Luis Melville) Uwe, what is your reaction to the decision to reinstate Bradford City in the FA Cup with Budweiser?
(Uwe Rösler) I was very surprised.
The FA made that decision, a very drastic decision, based on the facts.
It is clear Bradford played an ineligible player and I am surprised they overturned it.
It was a very drastic punishment and now they have been fined £1,000, it makes no sense.
In the back of your mind, did you plan to play the game next week?
I only trust my players, and my wife.
From that point, I know how football is.
I have been in a similar situation in Norway, I told the players not to celebrate but they are young, they don’t have much experience.
Psychologically, we are at a disadvantage now, we were already through.
We had made our preparations for the next week to come and now we have to change it.
Bradford were out of the competition.
We have to pick ourselves up and go again.
What was the players’ reaction?
I have not spoken to them yet.
The Player of the Month and Manager of the Month nominations have been announced and there is recognition for both yourself and Simon Moore.
Is that recognition for not only yourself, but for the work being done behind the scenes?
It is nice that we, as a Club, get more recognition.
It is a testament to all people working around the Club and the First Team.
But I am absolutely focussed on Notts County.
That is another top game against another team fighting with us for the Play-Offs.
It is another game where we can prove ourselves, and that is the priority.
Firstly, back to the Milton Keynes Dons game.
You came back again to win, was this a much bigger achievement given the nature of the game?
Last year it was a big task to come back from 3-0 down to 3-3, but we are better this year than last year.
Last year, for the first 45 minutes it was only MK Dons.
This year we almost dominated the whole game, we had 20 plus attempts on goal, they had eight.
We played a very risky game, we had our back four on the half way line to squeeze them up in their half and put pressure on them.
I think we are better this year than last year and that game showed it.
Did you see it as a calculated risk and you can trust the players to do it?
It is still risky.
You open yourself up for counter attacks and you need the players to be comfortable with that but the advantage is that there is only a short way to their goal.
You can put a team under pressure, force them in to mistakes and win the ball in very good areas to score goals.
Every system has advantages and disadvantages.
We have a recipe against MK Dons; in three games against them we have seven points.
Playing that way, you need your goalkeeper to be switched on; he has to play like a sweeper.
We have two very good goalkeepers.
Simon has benefitted since he signed a new contract.
I would not say he had a blip, but he had a lot to think about, whether to commit for three years.
He consulted a lot of people, which is understandable, before he made the decision.
Now, he is absolutely focused and that has shown in his performances.
It is a well-deserved Player of the Month nomination for him.
What would you say to fans who are thinking of coming to the game against Stevenage, where there is a ‘Pay What You Can’ offer on?
It is an absolutely brilliant idea for the marketing department and the Chief Executive.
It is a great Christmas present to our supporters, especially those we are trying to attract, families and those with young children.
At Christmas, money is tight; we are living in a recession.
A lot of people have problems to pay their bills and it is a magnificent idea to open up to those who maybe could not afford to come before.
It will be positive for the team, the atmosphere and the stadium.
The players love playing in an atmosphere like there was against Sheffield United or MK Dons.
It will inspire them.
At the moment, our team gives very good value for money.
We are trying to attract supporters and this gives them a chance to see their first Brentford game.
The players look like they are enjoying it.
You always enjoy winning football matches, the atmosphere is always good.
It is important when you are on a good run that you understand you have to work to keep it going.
Sooner or later we will have to cope with a loss and it is about the experience of that.
Over the year, we will end up where we want to be.
Earlier in the season you talked about consistency, Brentford have taken 21 points from the last 30, is that the sort of consistency you were talking about.
God bless we now play Notts County after MK Dons.
They have good players, they are strong on set pieces and they like to play on the counter attack.
They will ask questions of us, that is for sure.
If we are not at our best we will have no chance to win the game.
We have to be close to our best and work the margins like we did in the last games.
Hopefully we will be on the winning side.
All their defeats have come at home; do you see a vulnerability in them?
We are aware of that and, as I said, they are a counter attacking team.
We will go away from home and want to give them the initiative and see what questions they ask us.
They have experienced players; they play a regular first 11 and will be good on set pieces.
