Toumani Diagouraga has been named Junior Bees Player of the Year for the 2014/15 season.
All Junior Bees members were invited to choose their best player for Brentford’s memorable 2014/15 season.
A short list included top scorer Andre Gray, England Under-21 international Alex Pritchard and Spanish star Jota.
But Toumani picked up the most votes and was took the prize.
He was presented with the trophy by Junior Bees’ coordinator Mads Tarrant before helping Brentford beat Wigan Athletic 3-0 yesterday, Saturday May 2.
Toumani is one of Brentford’s longest serving players, having completed a permanent move to Griffin Park in the summer of 2010 after a successful loan spell.
He had a spell out on loan at Sky Bet League Two Portsmouth in early 2014 but returned to help Brentford win promotion from League One.
He forced his way in to the team in the autumn and has won widespread acclaim for his performances.
He has played 38 Sky Bet Championship games this season in the defensive midfield role and has now made 217 appearances for The Bees in all competitions.
