This is Darren's third season as an EFL referee having spent many years in the professional game as a linesman, including running the line for the 2015 FA Cup Final between Aston Villa and Arsenal.
Darren has never taken charge of The Bees before having joining the Select Group 2 of full-time referees in the summer. So far this season, Darren has shown 32 yellow cards and one red in eight matches.
