Pay What You Can will be back at Griffin Park in January for the Sky Bet Championship fixture against Rotherham United and, once again, charity Sport Relief will be a beneficiary.
Brentford Football Club will be running its ground-breaking, fund-raising Pay What You Can ticketing initiative for the third season in a row.
The Bees have sold all tickets in home areas for games against Stevenage, in the 2012/13 season, and Shrewsbury Town, last season, on a Pay What You Can basis.
The same initiative will be running for Brentford’s Sky Bet Championship match against Rotherham on Saturday January 10.
Under the Pay What You Can initiative advance match tickets for Brentford fans are sold at the price the supporter is able to pay.
The minimum price for a ticket is £5 and every ticket, whether for adult, senior, student or junior, in homes stands is up for sale, except those already taken by Season Card Holders.
Money will also be raised for charity at the same time as when more than £10 is paid for a ticket, 50 per cent of the excess, excluding VAT, will be donated to the charity Sport Relief.
Brentford FC has already donated more than £5,500 to Sport Relief over the past two years thanks to the Pay What You Can ticketing initiative.
Mark Devlin, Brentford FC Chief Executive, said: “When we first announced Pay What You Can in late 2012 we thought it was the first time it had been tried at Football League level.
“The first two games, both at League One level, have been an undoubted success.
“Now with the Club playing in the Sky Bet Championship everyone has been keen to make sure we repeat it this season.
“It is great that we have been able to find a suitable date and a suitable fixture.
“We know that Christmas stretches the finances for many and this game comes very early in the New Year.
“We hope that with this pricing, our supporters who would struggle to afford to attend will be able to do so.
“And, those who are in a position to pay a bit more will be doing their bit for charity.
“This will also help us to attract new fans to Griffin Park and we welcome them as we build for the long term and our new Community stadium.
“Griffin Park has been a fantastic place to watch football for the past few years.
“Manager Mark Warburton has put together an exciting, attacking team and there have been some memorable days as a Brentford fan, particularly in the past 12 months.
“Hopefully this will be another one.”
Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday November 11, at 10am to Season Card Holders and Club Members.
They then go on General Sale on Thursday, November 13, at 10am.
