Brentford Manager Uwe Rösler said he was proud of his team’s performance in their defeat against Leyton Orient but disappointed with the result.
The Bees were beaten 1-0 in East London in front of the Sky TV cameras.
Uwe said his team had enough chances to have won the game but needed to be more clinical in front of goal.
“When you have double figures of chances, you have to score goals,” said the Brentford Manager.
“Football is about scoring goals and when you create so much and are so dominant, like we were, you have to use one.
“The whole team did extremely well.
“I am proud to be the Manager of that team.
“They conducted themselves individually and collectively very well, they used their opportunity.
“The supporters can be proud to be associated with us and Brentford Football Club.
“We are disappointed not to get a result.
“The performance was top drawer, but we didn’t get the result.
“Football is also about match winners, you need match winners in both boxes, we have to work on that.
“We are making progress and getting more control.
“The next step is to be more clinical.”
Uwe said he would continue to work with his players to ensure they convert more of the opportunities they create.
The Brentford Manager said his team had created enough in recent games against Walsall, Colchester United and Crewe Alexandra, as well as against Orient, to have scored more than the eight they had.
But he pointed out his forwards had good goal scoring records.
“We are working with the players, but don’t forget, Clayton Donaldson is the leading goal scorer in the league and Farid El Alagui is just behind,” he said.
“Paul Hayes has a decent goal scoring record in the past too.
“We are not that bad.
“When you look at tonight, the Walsall game, the Colchester game, even the Crewe game we should score more goals with the chances we create.
“But we will work on it.”
Uwe explained he gave Harry Forrester a role high up on the left side with three central midfield players behind him and praised him for his performance.
The Brentford boss said he had started with Paul Hayes as he felt the striker was ready and wanted to ensure Farid El Alagui – who was getting used to the demands of English football – remained as close to 100 per cent as possible.
Uwe added his players needed to deal with the goal Ryan Brunt scored for Orient in the last 15 minutes.
“For their goal, the ball came in the area, we cleared it but then it came back and we didn’t clear it,” he said.
“On the edge of the box, the players should be marked.
“One wasn’t and he put the ball back, there was a bit of physical strength, some pushing and the ball drops for him and he scores.
“In this league this situation happens every week and we need to deal with it.
“We also have to reward ourselves and get three points when we play like this.”

Harry Forrester said the Brentford players were “devastated” to have lost to Leyton Orient after dominating the match.

Harry, speaking to Bees Player after the match, said the players could be proud of the way they played but needed a bit of luck and to be more ruthless to turn chances in to goals.
“The stats say it all, but stats don’t win you games,” said Harry.
“We bullied them and we were picking, picking, picking but we just couldn’t make the breakthrough.
“The boys can be proud of the performance but it was one of those games were you press so hard and something goes in against you.
“I think we can be proud and it’s looking up for the season.
“You need a bit of luck to get a goal.
“Maybe we can be more ruthless in front of goal, that’s what we work on every day.
“It will fall in to place but we couldn’t break them down.
“The keeper has made some good saves and we were pressing, pressing, pressing, it just didn’t come.
“To get the killer blow against us, the boys are devastated.
“We carved them open and if the ball falls in different places, we win the game.
“To lose it so late, we’re devastated.
“We gave everything.”
Harry said Brentford’s performance showed they could be in contention at the end of the season.
He added they would travel to AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday for their next npower League One match and if they played in the same manner, they would win.
“We know how good we are,” said the midfield man.
“We believe we have enough to reach the top six and we showed that tonight.
“We were just missing the final piece of the jigsaw tonight.
“We are all pushing in the right direction and doing well do far.
“We have a chance on Tuesday to do it.
“Bournemouth are a good side but if we put in a performance like we did tonight, I’m sure we will get something there.”
Harry was played on the left of a midfield four alongside Toumani Diagouraga, Adam Forshaw and Jonathan Douglas.
He played an advanced role with Adam Forshaw, the right sided player, tucked in.
He said he enjoyed the role and believed he would continue to improve with more games.
“It was a nice role for me,” said Harry.
“I was more advanced than Adam on the other side.
“He gave me a license to get forward and have a go at the full back, which I like to do.
“I got joy sometimes; sometimes I needed a better end product.
“That will come with more minutes.
“The more time on the pitch I get the sharper I will get.
“I still need to learn and the more I play the better I will be.
“I feel good; better than I thought I would be.
“I cramped up before the end but I felt good.”
