Brentford’s npower League One match against Stevenage at Griffin Park has been rearranged for Tuesday February 12.
The Bees were due to welcome the Hertfordshire side to TW8 on Saturday December 22 but the match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
It will now be played on February 12 and kick off at 7.45pm.
Tickets for the match on December 22 were sold on a ‘Pay What You Can’ basis.
Under the ‘Pay What You Can’ initiative advance match tickets for Brentford fans were sold at the price the supporter was able to pay.
The minimum price for a ticket was £1 and every ticket, whether for adult, senior, student or junior, in The Bees United Stand, The BIAS Stand and The Bill Axbey Stand was up for sale, except those already taken by Season Ticket Holders.
Money was also raised for charity at the same time as when more than £5 was paid for a ticket, 50 per cent of the excess, excluding VAT, was set aside to donate to the charity Sport Relief.
The ‘Pay What You Can’ scheme will now be carried forward to the rearranged date.
Mark Devlin, Brentford Football Club Chief Executive, said: “The initiative was an undoubted success.
“The attendance on December 22 was set to be well over 10,000 and everyone was frustrated and disappointed when the match was postponed.
“We have spent the past two weeks looking at the best way to honour tickets already bought for the match with the additional restriction of a Tuesday night fixture and the difficulties this will mean for families.
“We considered allowing tickets to be used for other matches but logistically this was not possible.
“Moving the whole scheme to a different date was also looked at but could not be achieved without putting an unbearable strain on the Club’s ticket administration.
“I hope everyone who bought a ticket for the first match will be able to attend and will see a fantastic game between two of the top teams in League One.
“We will be looking to run a promotion along these lines for a game during the 2013/14 season if it is possible."
There are around 1,000 tickets left for the match and these will be sold on a ‘Pay What You Can’ basis, with a minimum price of £1.
There are tickets left in all home areas of the ground and supporters should contact the Brentford FC Ticket Office for full details of availability.
Bees fans are reminded that all tickets in The Bees United Stand and The Bill Axbey Stand will be for allocated seats in order to maximise the potential attendance.
Supporters who have a ticket for the match on December 22 will be able to use that to gain entry on February 12.
Those who have their tickets and will not be able to attend on February 12 should contact the Brentford FC Ticket Office and arrange for them to be returned – a refund can then be processed.
The Brentford FC Ticket Office has a large number of tickets awaiting collection.
These will be posted to supporters from next Thursday, January 10.
Any Bees fan who has not yet collected their tickets and who would like them refunded should contact the Brentford FC Ticket Office before 4pm on Wednesday, January 9.
