This will be Stephen Martin’s fifth season as a referee in the EFL and his second as a member of the Select Group Two of Sky Bet Championship referees.
Stephen’s first Brentford match was our 2-0 defeat to MK Dons in April 2013. However, since then he has taken charge of three straight Bees wins, the most recent coming as John Egan’s double saw off Ipswich Town at Griffin Park last August.
Last season the Staffordshire-based referee took charge of 35 matches, showing 78 yellow, and three red, cards and awarding ten penalties.
