This begins Stephen Martin’s eighth season as a referee in the EFL and fourth as a member of the Select Group Two of Sky Bet Championship match officials.
Stephen’s first Brentford game was our 2-0 defeat to MK Dons at Stadium:MK in April 2013. Following three straight home victories, Martin has taken charge of a pair of defeats to Sheffield United, the most recent coming at Griffin Park in November, either side of last season's dramatic 2-2 draw at Loftus Road against QPR. His most recent assignment was April's 2-1 defeat on the road at Reading.
The opening weekend of the season saw him show five yellow cards as Millwall beat Preston North End 1-0 at The Den.
