The first Sporting Dinner of the 2012/13 season took place at the BA Concorde Club, in Cranford on Thursday October 18 when the guest speaker was World Cup winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks.
Despite horrific traffic problems on the M4 on the night, more than 200 guests were there to enjoy the entertainment, including current Brentford goalkeeper Simon Moore.
The evening was compered by Barry Williams and comedy came from Mickey Pugh.
All the guests enjoyed a three course meal and the evening’s entertainment set in the BA Club.
During the evening, there was the opportunity to bid for items in both the Main and Silent Auctions, a chance to play reverse bingo, and later in the evening, a chance to win one of the many raffles prizes.
Already plans are being finalised for the next Sporting Dinner, to be held in early 2013, but in the meantime, the Club would like to thank sponsors and guests that supported the evening.
