Sergi Canos won his second cap for Spain's Under-19s as they beat Serbia 2-1 in their final friendly match ahead of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifiers. Sergi started the match on Wednesday evening which saw two of the last three winners of the Under-19 title go head to head.
Spain went ahead midway through the first-half when Malaga winger Javier Ontiveros finished calmly. Sergi was withdrawn at half-time and Luis Fuente's side doubled their advantage seven minutes later through Villareal's Daniel Poveda. The home side pulled one back with 25 minutes to play but Spain held on to secure the win.
The Iberian nation are the current holders of the Under-19 crown and will face England, Greece and Georgia in qualifying later this month for a place in this summer's Championships in Germany.
