Sergi Canos has been called up to the Spain Under-19 squad for their friendly match against Italy next week. The 18-year-old winger will join up with his teammates on Monday 18 January ahead of their match against Italy in Lepe on Wednesday. The Liverpool youngster, who recently extended his loan deal at Griffin Park until the end of the season, has been capped by Spain at Under-15 and Under-17 level but is yet to be capped at Under-19 level.
Sergi joined The Bees on loan from Anfield in August and made his debut in the 1-1 draw away at Leeds United. The former Barcelona youngster went on to score his first professional goal in the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest in November. In total Sergi has made 20 appearances, seven of those starts, scoring three goals for Dean Smith’s side.
