Referee Darren Deadman has inspected the Griffin Park pitch ahead of Brentford’s npower League One match against Tranmere Rovers today, Saturday January 19, and is happy for the game to proceed.
The Club now needs volunteers to help clear the snow.
Many supporters have already turned up and the pitch is being cleared, as can be seen above.
Snow fell at Griffin Park for much of yesterday, Friday January 18, and there is a thick cover around the area.
However, the Griffin Park pitch has been covered with frost covers, it is soft and Mr Deadman is happy it is in a good enough condition to play the match.
The Club is looking for supporters to come down to Griffin Park NOW and help clear the snow that is currently on top of frost covers.
Anyone who can get to Griffin Park will be welcome and all those who turn up to assist will be given a ticket for the match.
If supporters have shovels or anything that can remove large amounts of snow, they should bring them.
Those who can get to Griffin Park should head straight on to the pitch and report to Head Groundsman Nick Baldwin.
