More than 60 golfers enjoyed the latest Brentford FC Golf Day on Wednesday, held at the award winning, scenic, Buckinghamshire Golf Club near Denham. Supporters and sponsors were joined on the tee by First Team Coach Dean Smith, Assistant First Team Coach Richard O Kelly, as well as Sam Saunders, Jack Bonham, Harlee Dean, Alan McCormack and Nico Yennaris.
It was a good day on the course for Sam, Harlee, Alan, and Nico as they finished Runners Up in the Team award, with a combined score of 98 points, four points behind the winners, Derek Burridge Trophies, who were led by the voice of Bees Player, Mark Burridge.
The individual winner was Brett Capaldi with a score of 45 points on the near 7,000 yard par-72 course. The nearest the pin winners were Dan Marron, on the 165 yard, par-3 ninth, and Brian Cox and the 190 yard 16th. Luke Fitzpatrick won the long-drive award on the par-5 fifth.
This was the first time that the Club’s annual Golf Day has been held at the Buckinghamshire, and, already, plans are in motion for another Club Golf day in 2017 at this prestigious course.
