On top of trips to Aldershot Town on Friday 7 July and Milton Keynes Dons on Tuesday 25 July, both 7.30pm kick-offs, Dean Smith's side now face a first ever trip to The Kassam Stadium to take on Michael Appleton's United ahead of the new Sky Bet Championship season.
Following promotion a year ago, United have adapted well to life back in the third tier, finishing in a creditable eighth place, just four points off the Play-Off places. Appleton's side also took the Championship scalps of Rotherham United and Newcastle United on their way to the last 16 of the Emirates FA Cup.
The game will see a first-ever trip to The Kassam Stadium, Oxford's home since 2001, for The Bees. A single Tony Folan goal separated the two sides the last time Brentford travelled to Oxford, in August 2000, while the most recent meeting saw United run out 4-0 winners in a Capital One Cup First Round tie at Griffin Park in August 2015.
