The opportunity to get copies of Uwe Rösler’s autobiography signed by the Brentford Manager proved so popular the event overran by more than half an hour.
The Brentford boss was in The Bees Superstore last night signing copies of his book – Knocking Down Walls.
The book, released on October 31, contains Uwe’s thoughts about his childhood and early career in East Germany, before the fall of the Berlin Wall, a career that brought him to England and his life as a manager.
Uwe talks about fighting cancer and life under the Communist regime in East Germany as well as his time as Brentford Manager.
Approaching 150 Brentford fans, and others with an interest in the book, queued, some for more than an hour in falling temperatures, to get their books signed.
Uwe stayed well past the advertised 7pm time to ensure everyone who attended got a book signed.
Due to the Fans Forum that was following the event, there was little time for the Brentford Manager to stay on and sign additional copies of his book.
This means that as of 10.30am today, Friday November 15, there are no more signed copies available.
It is hoped more signed copies can be secured and there will be an announcement on www.brentfordfc.co.uk when they are in stock.
