Brentford goalkeeper Nik Tzanev will be seeking to help New Zealand secure a place in the Olympic Games in the early hours of tomorrow morning. The teenager is in New Zealand’s Under-23 squad for the Pacific Games tournament which doubles as qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro and start next August.
New Zealand play Fiji in the final tomorrow, Sunday 12 July. The match will kick off at 2.30pm local time, 5.30am BST. The winner will qualify for the Olympic Games. Nik, 18, is one of three goalkeepers in the Under-23 squad and has three Under-20 caps but has yet to play at the higher level.
