Brentford goalkeeper Nik Tzanev will be looking to help New Zealand’s quest to play in the Olympic Games overnight.
The teenager is in New Zealand’s Under-23 squad for the Pacific Games tournament which doubles as qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro and start next August.
New Zealand started their campaign with a win over Solomon Islands yesterday, Friday 3 July, but Nik was an unused substitute.
He will be hoping to play against hosts Papua New Guinea in the next match.
The game will be played tomorrow, Sunday 5 July, and will kick-off at 3pm local time, 6am BST.
Nik, 18, is one of three goalkeepers in the Under-23 squad and has three Under-20 caps.
New Zealand also have to play New Caledonia in the group phase before the top two teams in each group move on the semi-finals.
The winner of the tournament overall will qualify for the Olympic Games.
