Neither Paris Maghoma nor Nathan Young-Coombes featured for AFC Wimbledon as they beat Colchester United 2-1 in Sky Bet League Two last Thursday night, but the latter did make an impact during the Dons’ New Year’s Day game.
On his first start since September, Young-Coombes set up Josh Davison for Wimbledon's equaliser on the stroke of half-time against Sutton United.
He was withdrawn at the interval with Sutton scoring a 69th-minute winner through Omar Bugiel.
Maghoma has since returned from his loan spell with Young-Coombes still at 14th-placed Dons for tomorrow’s game against Crewe Alexandra.
Crewe could have Lachlan Brook involved in that game after he extended his stay at the Mornflake Stadium until the end of the season.
Brook was a late substitute for Crewe’s 3-0 defeat to Carlisle United last Thursday but then started their 1-0 win over Tranmere Rovers on New Year’s Day, which lifted them to 17th in the table.

Tariqe Fosu played the final 20 minutes of Stoke City’s 1-0 defeat at home to Burnley last Friday, a game Halil Dervisoglu didn’t feature in for Burnley.
Neither player was then involved on Monday with Burnley winning at Swansea to open up a five-point gap at the top of the table, while Stoke City slipped to 18th with defeat against Preston North End.
This weekend, both sides are on the road in the Emirates FA Cup - Burnley at Bournemouth and Stoke at Hartlepool.
Fin Stevens didn’t feature in Swansea City’s 4-0 win over Watford last Friday, shortly before he was recalled.

Ellery Balcombe played both Crawley Town’s games over the past week.
The Red Devils were beaten 3-1 by Stevenage last Friday but looked set for all three points on New Year’s Day, leading 2-0 at Newport County going into the final seven minutes.
However, Matthew Dolan pulled one back before Offrande Zanzala’s 92nd-minute leveler denied them the win. Crawley sit 20th and are without a game this weekend.
Myles Peart-Harris will be spending the rest of the season with Forest Green Rovers in League One.
Rovers now prop up the third tier after four successive defeats. Peart-Harris got the 93rd-minute consolation for Burton last Thursday and then played an hour of their 3-1 defeat at home to Port Vale on New Year’s Day.
Forest Green host Birmingham City in the Emirates FA Cup third round tomorrow.
