Brentford Manager Mark Warburton is still hopeful a new player can be added to his squad before the loan window closes this afternoon.
The deadline to bring in players on loan is 5pm today, Thursday March 27.
No temporary moves in or out can be made by any Football League club after this deadline.
Mark, speaking to www.brentfordfc.co.uk this morning, said the Club had deals in place in recent weeks only to see them fall through.
He added he had absolute faith in the existing squad for the remaining nine games and no doubt that they have both the quality and desire so vital at such a stage of the season.
However, if there was an opportunity to bring in another player to add value, he would do so.
Mark said: “We had deals lined up for two players.
“I will not discuss names in public as that is unfair to the players and their clubs but they were known to us and conversations were more than advanced.
“One target unfortunately suffered an injury that is likely to prevent him playing again this season.
“The other has a somewhat complicated situation and whilst all factors would appear to be in place for a positive loan, certain concerns have thus far prevented such a deal going through.
“We were confident that both deals would be completed and that the players concerned would add quality on and off the pitch, but they fell through.
“There are still a few hours to go and if the right player is available we will get them in.
“However, any such player must add value both on and off the pitch and if no such option appears we are more than happy with the squad as it stands.
“The current group have lost two of 26 league games and won four in a row before Tuesday, such a record speaks for itself and I find it very disrespectful when people suggest more players are required.”
