Brentford manager Mark Warburton reviewed Saturday’s match at Birmingham City with a warning that the home side can hurt teams if they weren't respected.
“They are very well organised,” said Mark.
“Gary has come in and done a great job.
“They got beat 8-0 at home, which is a tough experience for them; he organised them quickly.
“They didn’t concede more than a goal for a run of games; they are tough to beat.
“The likes of Dyer, Clayton [Donaldson] we know all about so they have a real potent attacking threat.
“It’s a real tough challenge and a tough place to go, all we can do is try to impose ourselves on the game.
“You’d like to think we have the creativity; if we can move it quickly, one or two touches to get into that final third, maintain our width, and don’t lose patience.”
The match gives his side an opportunity to claim their third win in a row after the 4-0 win over Blackpool on Tuesday, following on from the victory against AFC Bournemouth last Saturday.
“We had to start fast, start hard, move the ball and try and hurt them early” said Mark.
“We had a good tempo, good intensity, and I thought we dominated the 90 minutes.”
Liam Moore has been added to the squad, arriving for his second spell on loan from Leicester City.
“He’s an England Under-21 international,” said Mark, adding “I believe he’s made 11 Premier League appearances this season.
“He’s strong, quick, and very comfortable in possession.
“It’s making sure we have cover in places to what is a really tough end to the season.
“The players know him, and he knows us and I’m delighted to have him on board.”
His arrival means there are four front line centre backs vying for two places in the starting eleven.
“The players will know we’re in it together” said Mark.
“We haven’t changed our tune from the first day of the season.
“It’s about the whole group putting in – you can get two, three, four injuries – we’ve got to make sure we’ve got cover, and we have that all over the park.”
