Mark Warburton celebrates a year in charge of Brentford Football Club.
Mark took charge exactly 12 months ago, December 10 2013, and said he was really enjoying it.
"There are some really good people here, many of whom I’ve worked with for a long time and I hope very much that we can take this club as far as possible,” said Mark, speaking to Bees Review, the Brentford match day programme.
“As a club we’re making solid strides forward.
“After one year as Brentford Manager, I can look back and truly say it has been a privilege to be involved with such a special club and I sincerely hope I can continue to play a part in what is indeed a very exciting period of growth for Brentford FC and its fantastic supporters. “
Mark won his first six games as Brentford Manager and by the time he suffered his first defeat in charge, more than ten weeks after taking over, his side had earned 29 points from 11 games.
In April Brentford won promotion from Sky Bet League One and Mark became only the third man in the Club’s history – after Harry Curtis and Phil Holder – to lead The Bees out of the third tier.

Brentford’s five Sky Bet Championship wins in November – which earned Mark his second Manager of the Month award – equalled a Club Record for second tier performance and leaves The Bees fifth in the table, 23 places in the football pyramid higher than 12 months ago.
Mark’s full record as Brentford Manager is 27 wins from 49 games in all competitions, 27 from 47 league games and a total of 91 points earned.
