Mark Warburton has called on Brentford’s fans to make Griffin Park intimidating for Nottingham Forest this afternoon.
Brentford play Forest in a Sky Bet Championship clash at Griffin Park at 3pm today, Easter Monday, April 6.
They will be looking to make it a perfect Easter weekend after a 4-1 win at Fulham on Good Friday.
After the West London derby win Mark praised the Brentford fans for the atmosphere they created.
The Brentford boss said if the fans could produce it again it would help The Bees get the result they needed.
“We want the same vibrant atmosphere at Griffin Park as we had at Fulham,” said Mark.
“Griffin Park can be an intimidating place when the crowd get behind the team.
“The team need it and appreciate it.”
Mark said he may make changes to the team which beat Fulham.
The Bees won at Craven Cottage as Stuart Dallas scored twice and Alan Judge came off the substitutes’ bench to score a superb free kick and then set up a fourth for Jota.
Mark said the players not involved at Fulham would train and others would make sure they were ready for Nottingham Forest but all were fit after the derby.
“We will possibly be looking at some changes,” said Mark.
“We have to keep the fringe players fit.
“It is about rest and recovery, rehydration and nutrition for the players.
“All clubs are doing it.
“Our focus is a tough challenge against a talented Nottingham Forest side.”
Today’s visitors lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Good Friday, all but ending their Play-Off hopes.
But under Dougie Freedman, who took over as Forest boss on February 1, they have won seven of 12 matches.
Brentford have six games to go, starting today, and are fifth in the Championship table but Mark said he is not looking too far ahead.
“Dougie Freedman has done a great job there,” said Mark.
“We will be looking at how they play and what sort of challenge they will pose.
“We will be taking one game at a time and we will see where we are on May 2.”
James Tarkowski spoke to Bees Player after the win at Fulham.
That win saw Brentford climb from seventh to fifth as four of the six teams above them failed to win.
The Bees have 69 points, Middlesbrough lead the way on 75 with AFC Bournemouth on 74 and Watford and Norwich City a point further back.
James said automatic promotion was still a target for The Bees.
“We are in with a great shout,” said the defender.
“It is very tight at the top and the top two places aren’t guaranteed yet.
“We are still going for those top two spaces.
“We have some tough games coming up but if we can win them we will really go up the table.
“It will be a good game on Monday and we are looking forward to it.
“Everybody will be looking forward to Monday.
“Teams that have got beaten will be saying that they have a game in two days’ time to turn things round.
“Everybody will be looking to get a positive result on Monday.”
Stuart Dallas spoke to Bees Player after his brace at Craven Cottage.
He said Brentford could only look at one game at a time.
“We have Nottingham Forest on Monday who are a good side and they are going to give it a go,” said the Northern Ireland international.
“We have got to be on top of our game because we have shown this season that if we are not on top of our game we will get punished.
“We have got to rest well because we have got five games in 15 days so it will be a hard run-in.
“We need to take it easy and get ready for Monday.
“You get the same number of points for beating your rivals as you do any team.
“We have got to back today up at home to Nottingham Forest on Monday and that is as far as we can look.”
