In the latest edition of Bees Review - Brentford's matchday programme - Marco Djuricin says that he hasn't given up hope on being involved for Austria in the European Championships this summer.
Marco has two caps to his name and he knows that the only way he will add to that tally in France this summer is by putting in good performances for The Bees until the end of the season.
“I have played in a European qualifier and a friendly,” said Marco. “It was very nice to play my first match – a qualifier against Liechtenstein – which we won 5-0. Austria won nine games out of 10 in qualifying and we have a great squad with Christian Fuchs from Leicester and David Alaba from Bayern. We don’t see the scoutes, they don’t tell us they are coming, they come and see and then go back. Now I am fit I hope to play in every game and I hope I can impress Brentford and the Austria coaches.”
