On loan Development Squad defender Alfie Mawson was unable to prevent Tranmere Rovers ending Wycombe Wanderers perfect league start to the season.
Alfie played the 90 minutes on Tuesday night as goals from Cole Stockton and Max Power secured the win for Rob Edwards' side.
It was Wycombe's first league defeat of the season and leaves Alfie and his teammates seventh in Sky Bet League Two.
The Chairboys are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Stevenage.
Will Grigg was a last minute substitute as MK Dons continued their good start to the season with a 1-0 win away at Chesterfield.
Benik Afobe scored the only goal of the game which leaves MK fourth in Sky Bet League One.
The Dons next league outing is at Stadium:MK against Coventry City.
Also out on loan is Development Squad goalkeeper Mark Smith who was not selected in the Hitchin Town squad as they beat Paulton Rovers 1-0 at Top Field.
