Farid El Alagui was an unused substitute and had to sit and watch Dundee United lose the Scottish FA Cup Final.
The striker was named in the squad for his loan club for the match against St Johnstone at Celtic Park on Saturday, May 17.
St Johnstone went ahead at the end of the first half and although Dundee United hit the woodwork twice, they could find no way back.
Farid was not introduced and St Johnstone sealed the game with six minutes remaining.
