Two late goals denied two Brentford players the opportunity of going head-to-head in the Scottish Cup Final.
Farid El Alagui was an unused substitute as his Dundee United team beat Rangers 3-1 in the Scottish Cup Semi-Final on Saturday.
Dundee United went 2-0 up in the Semi-Final, played at Ibrox – Rangers’ home ground – on Saturday, April 12, and then sealed the win with a late goal after their opponents had pulled one back.
Shaleum Logan was in the Aberdeen team that played St Johnstone in the other Semi-Final on Sunday, April 13.
They were a goal up with half an hour remaining but lost 2-1.
Shaleum played his 13th game for Aberdeen in the loss.
He was one of six Brentford players to feature for loan clubs this weekend.
Two Development Squad players were in action in Sky Bet League Two.
Luke Norris started for Dagenham and Redbridge against Portsmouth on Saturday, his 15th appearance for the East London side.
However, he only played 19 minutes as The Daggers were beaten 4-1.
The loss leaves them 12th in League Two, eight points outside the Play-Off places with four games to go.
Luke’s team mate Aaron Pierre is in a battle at the wrong end of the table.
He played 90 minutes for Wycombe Wanderers as they were beaten by Newport County, his fourth game for the Buckinghamshire side.
Wycombe were beaten by two second half goals and are 22nd in League Two, only outside the relegation zone on goal difference.
Development Squad midfield player Emmanuel Oyeleke is in a relegation battle a league lower.
He played for Aldershot Town in the Skrill Premier match away to Macclesfield Town.
Aldershot took a share of the spoils as they converted a 90th minute player.
Emmanuel, better known as Manny, played his 37th game for Aldershot in the draw, which took them out of the relegation zone.
They are 20th in the table with three games remaining.
Youth Team midfield player Lewis Lavender was in action for Burnham this weekend.
Lewis, like fellow Youth Team player George Pilbeam, is with Calor League Premier Division Burnham on work experience.
Burnham beat Corby Town 2-1 on Saturday and Lewis came on as a substitute to play his sixth game for the Buckinghamshire side.
George played for Brentford’s Youth Team against Leeds United rather than for Burnham.
Brentford’s last player to get game time out on loan was Joe Taylor.
The Youth Team goalkeeper is on work experience at Eastbourne Town.
He played his fourth game for Eastbourne in a Ryman League Division One South match against Chipstead.
Eastbourne took a 2-0 lead but were pegged back and drew 2-2.
The result meant Eastbourne were relegated.
Brentford have one more player out on loan.
Development Squad defender Alfie Mawson is with Welling United but injury kept him out of their Skrill Premier defeat to Kidderminster Harriers.
