On loan Brentford defender Alfie Mawson helped Wycombe Wanderers to the top of Sky Bet League Two with a 3-1 win over Morecambe.
The Chairboys took the lead through Sam Wood's first-half volley from fully 40 yards and another ex-Bee Paul Hayes made it 2-0 after Alfie's header had been cleared off the line.
Andy Fleming halved the arrears on the stroke of half-time but Joe Jacobson made it 3-1 in the second-half to extend Wycombe's unbeaten run to nine games.
The win moves Gareth Ainsworth's side above Bury to the top of the League Two summit.
Alfie has played every minute of league action so far since joining on loan in August and has made 14 appearances in total.
Next up for Wycombe is a home game against AFC Wimbledon next Saturday.
Also out on loan is Will Grigg, at MK Dons, who was an unused substitute for Northern Ireland in their Euro 2016 Qualifier win at home to the Faroe Islands on Saturday.
MK did not have a game this weekend due to international call-ups but they are back in action next Saturday at Brisbane Road against Leyton Orient.
