The weather was again largely responsible for preventing Brentford’s on loan players getting any competitive First Team action this week.
Goalkeeper Jack Bonham was due to play for Calor League Premier Division Arlesey Town against Chippenham Town on Tuesday night but the game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Jack has played 12 games for Arlesey and kept four clean sheets but was unable to add to that tally.
Development Squad midfield player Emmanuel Oyeleke is with Aldershot Town, of the Skrill Premier.
Aldershot did not have a game this week.
Development Squad midfield player Joe Maloney is also playing in the Calor League Premier Division with Burnham.
His loan with the Buckinghamshire club ended on Saturday, January 4, and was renewed yesterday, Thursday January 9.
That meant he was not available for Burnham’s game against Slough Town on Tuesday, January 7.
Burnham won the Red Insure Cup tie, the league cup for Calor League teams, on penalties after a 3-3 draw.
Development Squad defender Alfie Mawson did get some game time this week.
His loan spell at Skrill Premier Luton Town ended on Saturday, January 4, but he trained with The Hatters this week.
He played for their Development Squad in a friendly against Reading on Monday, January 6.
Alfie played 90 minutes and scored the third in a 4-1 win.
