Audrius Laucys made his debut for Hemel Hempstead Town last night in a 1-0 defeat against Bishop's Stortford in the National League South. The 19-year-old defender joined the Hertfordshire side on a one-month Youth Loan on Monday and went straight into their side for the match on Tuesday. Audrius played 74 minutes before being substituted with the score at 0-0 but Bishop's Stortford stole the points in the 90th minute as Mikel Suarez powered home a header from close range. The defeat leaves Hemel ninth in the National League South, four points outside the Play-Off positions, ahead of Saturday's match at home to Chelmsford City.
Also in action on Tuesday night was James Ferry as he played 90 minutes in Welling United's 1-0 defeat away at Braintree Town in the National League. Dan Sparkes scored the only goal after nine minutes but Town were forced to play nearly an hour with ten men after Sean Marks was shown a straight red card for an altercation in the first-half. The defeat leaves The Wings five points from safety with a key clash against relegation-threatened Altrincham coming up this weekend.
Other Brentford players hoping to be in loan action this weekend are Jota as Eibar visit title-chasing Atletico Madrid in La Liga and Mark Smith as Lowestoft Town travel to Harrogate Town in the National League North.
