Jermaine Udumaga was an unused substitute as Wycombe Wanderers held Premier League side Aston Villa to a 1-1 draw in their Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie at Adams Park on Saturday. The Sky Bet League Two side fell behind in the first-half as Villa captain Micah Richards swept home but they were level just after the break as Joe Jacobson smashed home from the penalty spot after Ashley Westwood had fouled Matt Bloomfield. The two sides will meet again next week at Villa Park but before that Jermaine and Wycombe have a trip to Hartlepool United in League Two on Saturday.
Elsewhere Mark Smith was denied a debut for Lowestoft Town as their National League North Clash with Worcester City on Saturday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The goalkeeper joined the East Anglian side on Friday and will be hoping for better luck when they host AFC Fylde this coming Saturday.
There was also no match for Seth Owens as Hayes and Yeading United saw their game at York Road against Dartford fall foul of the weather. Next up for United is a trip to Play-Off chasing Whitehawk next Saturday.
