There were contrasting fortunes for two of our Development Squad players out on loan yesterday. Midfielder Herson Rodrigues Alves and goalkeeper Nik Tzanev faced each other on Wednesday night as Hampton and Richmond Borough played host to Lewes in a Ryman League Premier Division match.
Nik, signed that morning on loan, went straight into the side as they beat The Beavers 4-0 for their first league win of the season, a result that lifted them out of the relegation zone. Herson started the match for Hampton, his second since joining Hampton on loan from Griffin Park last week.
Former Bee Jay Lovett opened the scoring for The Rooks, who scored three more after the break. Richard Pacquette, who made one league appearance for Brentford in 2004, came on as a second half substitute for Hampton.
