Brentford Football Club stadium team held a Lionel Road liaison group meeting recently at Griffin Park, their first since the Club announced it had bought the 7.6 acre site in June.
A summary of the meeting has been released and can be viewed on the Brentford Community Stadium website.
Brian Burgess, Director of Brentford FC (Lionel Road) Ltd, explained to the meeting attendees the new ownership structure of the Club and the purchase of the Lionel Road site.
He outlined that the Club had a target of having a new stadium opened in August 2016.
In order to reach this aim, the stadium team mentioned there was an expectation that a planning application would be submitted to Hounslow Council by May 2013.
The next scheduled meeting for the invited stakeholders is December.
