Lewis Macleod has been included in Scotland's squad for next month's Under-21 European Championship qualifiers against FYR Macedonia and Ukraine. Ricky Sbragia's side host Macedonia at Tynecastle Stadium on Friday 2 September before travelling to Kiev four days later to take on Ukraine at the Obolon Arena. Injury means it has been nearly two years since Lewis last represented Scotland's Under-21s as he looks to add to the eight caps he has already earned.
Scotland are currently fourth in Group Three of qualifying for next summer's tournament in Poland. Sbragia's side have eight points from six matches so far and will, in all likelihood, need maximum points from this round of games to stand a chance of making the top two. France lead the way in Group Three on 14 points with Iceland and Macedonia on 12 points, four clear of Scotland, although France and Macedonia have played a game more.
After an injury ravaged first 18 months at Griffin Park, Lewis returned to full fitness over the summer and has started all four of The Bees Sky Bet Championship games this season, contributing two assists.
