Ladies’ Day was celebrated at Griffin Park earlier this month.
When Brentford beat Preston North End in an npower League One fixture on Saturday March 16, there was be a celebration of women’s football.
The Club and Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is committed to the on-going support of women’s football.
There has been a women’s football programme running for 23 years and March 16 was the seventh annual Ladies’ Day at Griffin Park.
Unfortunately, the match between Brentford’s Women’s Team and Regents Park Rangers FC had to be postponed due to the weather but there was plenty going on.
The Under-13 Girls provided a guard of honour before the npower League One match and Old Actonians Ladies FC took part in a half time penalty shoot-out.
Diane Khechab’s Zumba Dancers were on hand to provide half time entertainment.

It was also a special day for Brentford’s two female mascots.
The duo came from the Falls Prevention Programme, part of the Brentford Extra Time project, a support network for those aged 55 and over run the Trust in association with the Football Foundation, Age UK Hounslow and Sport Relief.
Ada Thompson, aged 93, and Janette Lawson, 77, led the teams out on the day.
