Konstantin Kerschbaumer said he was very happy and very proud to sign for Brentford.
The 23-year-old central midfield player, who celebrated his birthday yesterday – Wednesday 1 June, joined The Bees on a four-year contract after signing from FC Admira Wacker Mödling for an undisclosed fee.
Konstantin, an Austrian youth international, joined Admira in January and said he was excited to make the move to London.
“I am very happy and very proud to sign for this Club,” said Konstantin, speaking to Bees Player.
“I am very excited to come to the team.
“I moved to Admira in January.
“That was the next step for me, to play in the top league.
“Now I am making the next step again, to England and to the Championship.
“This is a good step for me.
“It is a good league and good for my future.”
Konstantin described himself as a box-to-box midfield player and said he had already started pre-season training with Admira.
He said he was happy to be in London and was looking forward to playing at Griffin Park.
“This is all new for me,” said Konstantin.
“New players, new coach, new city but I am happy to be here.
“This is England.
“The stadium with a lot of people, on a rainy day, that is football in England.”
