Staff and young people representing Brentford Football Club Community Sports Trust attended the annual Kickz Awards at Stamford Bridge earlier this month.
The awards at the home of Chelsea FC celebrate the achievements of everyone involved with the long running Kickz inclusion project.
The 2013 awards were presented by BBC TV and radio presenter Mark Chapman and were complemented with stadium tours for all guests prior to the formal ceremony.
Hounslow resident Mohsin Dawood, aged 17, won the Alternative Achievement Award for his engagement in the Hounslow Kickz cricket sessions.
Mohsin arrived in England from Pakistan and initially found it hard to settle in a new country.
The Kickz sessions helped him integrate and make new friends.
Now Mohsin is volunteering weekly and has recently taken part in the National Citizenship programme, run by the Trust, which involved him going on a residential trip to the Lake District.
Also from Hounslow is Turnell Sinclair, aged 16, who has been attending the Feltham Kickz project for four years.
Turnell was recognised with the Inspiring Young Person Award for his commitment and contribution to the project.
Turnell received his award from former Holland international midfield player Edgar Davids, who used to star for Ajax and Juventus and is now Player/Manager at Barnet.
Ealing resident Haseeb Majid, who is 16, was also recognised with a Kickz Volunteer Award for his 100+ hours of voluntary work in 2012 on the Northolt Kickz cricket sessions.
This year Haseeb has gained employment with the Trust after spending two years as a participant on the project.
Inspector Dominic Lemonde was the last person representing the Trust to receive an accolade.
Inspector Lemonde, of the Northolt and Greenford Safer Neighbourhood Team cluster, was shortlisted for the Outstanding Police Contribution (London) Award.
He is an integral part of the Ealing Kickz steering group and has played a key role in sourcing funding to keep projects in the borough of Ealing open.
The Trust offered congratulations to Mohsin, Turnell and Haseeb, who have proved themselves dedicated, hard-working and committed members of the Kicks team and are a credit to the Trust, Brentford FC and their boroughs.
