Josh Clarke's maiden Brentford goal in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Reading has earned the winger a place in the EFL Team of the Midweek.
The 21-year-old opened the scoring against The Royals at Griffin Park, smashing home after a flowing team move involving Alan McCormack, Maxime Colin, Romaine Sawyers, Scott Hogan, and Lasse Vibe. It was Josh's first goal in a Brentford shirt and set Dean Smith's side on their way to a ninth home game unbeaten and a place in the Sky Bet Championship top six.
Josh's performance saw him selected in the EFL Team of the Midweek, published on the EFL website, which is drawn from the performances over the previous nights' action in all Sky Bet Football League divisions. Scott Hogan has twice been included in the selection this season after his brace against Brighton and Hove Albion and hat-trick against Preston North End while John Egan was also included after his double in the win over Ipswich Town.
