On loan Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral spoke of his delight in becoming the latest Brentford player to score a hat trick in a First Team game.
“It means quite a lot to me getting my first hat trick,” said Jon.
“I’ve been told it’s the first one in three years for the club; I have to thank my team mates because they are all part of it.
“It was a tricky game for us after the Bournemouth win, we had to get the attitude right.
“I think we did that and performed very well and got the win that we deserved.
“We had to focus more on our performance, we did that and it worked out.”
With Blackpool in their lowly league position, the 20-year-old added that the team needed to be focused in order to secure the victory.
“You have to keep your concentration at all times, said Jon.
“Because you never know when they can break and go on the counter.
“We did that and kept the ball well and were patient, scored four goals and it was a great performance.”
Jon has been used mostly as substitute so far this season but the Spaniard claimed he was happy to undertake any role manager Mark Warburton wanted him to, adding that recent conversations between the two had been positive ones despite his lack of recent starts.
“He’s just said to me to just keep working hard,” said Jon.
“Whatever the manager needs me for, I’ll do it; if it’s coming off from the bench or starting.
“I’ve done my best today and let’s see what happens on Saturday.
“It’s a squad [game] and there’s loads of quality players here.”
