John Swift has been recognised by the Football League for his performance in The Bees 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last night.
The on-loan Chelsea midfielder scored twice as Dean Smith's side picked up the three points at Griffin Park. After a goalless opening 35 minutes John bundled home The Bees opener as his shot rebounded off Carl Ikeme and back off his foot and into the net. He also added a second with 25 minutes to play, firing home after good work by Sergi Canos, to wrap up the 3-0 win.
The two goals in the 3-0 win saw John named in the Football League Team of the Midweek.
The team, published on the Football League website, is drawn from the performances over the previous night's action in all Sky Bet Football League divisions.

John is the third Brentford player to be named in the Football League selection this season. James Tarkowski was included following the 2-2 draw with Ipswich Town on the opening day and Alan Judge's brace against Rotherham United in October saw him included.
