John Egan’s performance, on a dream home debut for the 23-year-old, against Ipswich Town on Saturday has seen him named in the EFL Team of the Weekend.
The Irish defender netted both goals as The Bees picked up their first win of the season after a 2-0 victory over The Tractor Boys at Griffin Park. His first came three minutes into the second-half, as he powered home Lewis Macleod’s corner, and a second arrived eight minutes later, the defender reacting fasted when Nico Yennaris’ shot was only parried by Bartosz Bialkowski.
