Bees centre-back John Egan has been named in the EFL Team of 2016 for his performances over the last 12 months. The 24-year-old moved to Griffin Park in the summer after an impressive spell at Gillingham which saw him named in the 2015/16 PFA League One Team of the Year. The Irish defender hit the ground running in West London, scoring twice on his home debut against Ipswich Town, before adding a third goal in September away at Aston Villa. John has yet to miss a minute of Sky Bet Championship action this season and has helped The Bees to keep eight clean sheets already this campaign.
